Former PhD student and PostDoc of our research group, Marián Janík, was named Young Researcher of the Year 2025 at the 29th annual Scientist of the Year event at the Comenius University in Bratislava (Slovakia). The event is organized by the Union of Slovak Scientific and Technical Societies.

According to the selection committee, he deserved the award primarily “for his exceptional scientific achievements in the field of quantum nanotechnology, the development of new projects and international collaborations, the mentoring of young scientists, and the popularization of science.”
