Enjoying life in Maria Gugging!

This year at the Open Campus day Andrea, Daniel, Giorgos, Kushagra, Luka and Sandra played with the levitating train, made some ice cream with liquid nitrogen and explained to many curious kids of every age what qubits are.

Andrea won a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Individual Fellowship! Congratulations!

We had the pleasure to visit Peter Krogstrup’s lab today in Copenhagen and see the amazing facilities where the samples we are measuring at IST are grown! Thanks guys for the great time and MS for reminding us:

One more low temperature toy arrived last week. Looking forward to operate the 3D vector magnet and the He battery!

In October we visited Conrad Observatory. From the head of the observatory, Roman Leonhardt, we have learned a lot about geophysics! Roman, thank you for an interesting underground lab tour!
This summer Konrad and Marco enforced our team at IST Austria and helped us with fabrication, simulation and cake eating.
